Travel day

Yesterday was a day of traveling. Although we were scheduled to land at 2:35 (a flight I'd chosen so we could have some of the day in Jamaica) our flight from miami had "issues" so we actually landed at 6:25! Which btw was 45 minutes later than the later flight that I didn't choose because I wanted the day here ;-)

We boarded the flight from Miami to montego bay on time (half an hour before take off) then we were in formed that take off was delayed due to the queue... When it was finally our turn (half an hour after we were due to have left) the airport/airline mechanics wouldn't approve the plane to fly, it needed a new tire (a set back of an hour and a half). In reality I didn't mind this - I'd rather repairs than crashes. What I did mind though was that we were left on the fully booked plane the entire time and the air was shut off. But at long last we were in the air YAY!

We hit a good amount of turbulence and the fasten seat belt signs never went off (have i mentioned yet I'm a nervous flyer and that hubs and I weren't able to get seats together for this leg?) an hour and a half later we arrive at the airport - don't get excited... There objects on the runway and we can't land! After half an hour there's talk of diverting us to Kingston (on the other side of the island) as we head that way we learn that the runway is cleared and we are second in line, 15 minutes later we land! Oh holy hell thank you.

Now I haven't really talked about this on here but I have been having some health issues lately (that almost precluded me from coming) including some pulmonary problems and reduced kidney function. I had been afraid of my heart but not so much my kidneys but being seated for that long did them no favors esp since we weren't allowed up to use the restrooms. I've got some SERIOUS swelling in my legs currently - feet, ankles? What are those?

But at 8:00 local time (9:00 est) we had arrived at the hotel! It was a long day of travel but we survived! And even took in a little of a concert. Checked out the ocean and did some yoga with waves lapping at our feet.

My bags are packed I'm ready to go...

I dropped pupster off at camp last night. Not ashamed to admit tears were shed. But his fabulous baby sitter already texted me pictures!! Cleaned the house. Packed my bags. And am waiting in boarding to get on a plane... Hubster and I are headed to Jamaica to see our dear friends get married! I'm hoping to blog our trip.

Thursday bug

Awww man I have lots of bugs this week...

First our road is being torn up so they can put in new water pipes. Well Tuesday the hit the gas line and my entire street was evacuated - I cried!

Second friends who aren't there when you need them but they expect you to jump when they need you!

Third my own stupidity - I decided to carry a huge ac to install for a friend... Ignoring my no heavy lifting rule. Well I ended up slicing my finger and hitting my head - worst of all? It was broken... Even worse? Hubster who never gets angry with me was so mad he couldn't speak - for an hour.

My neighbor is driving me bat shit crazy! She and her husband are newlyweds and every time they get in a fight she leaves for the night - she's decided my house is where she likes to go. The last 2 times she's called me between midnight and 1 am. Seriously, wtf? I'm a thinking that I need to say no calls after 10!

I'm also thinking the abandoned house in the woods that pupster found might be a great place to live - only mosquito to invade out quiet

Today is a great day, a great day indeed! Today is pupsters birthday! We are having his family party tonight and his friend one on Sunday. Yes I go overboard when it comes to pup and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Yesterday was shit day!
I had someone tell me that I was hopeless - wait scratch that I had a part of my treatment team tell me I was hopeless.
I so am proving them wrong - and yeah I need an overhaul of my team, pretty sure they've kept me alive but I need more than heartbeats and breaths, right?
Today is all about new beginnings.
Choices for a new me in a new year.
Today I will walk because I love it and I can. (not because something in my head tells me I have to)
Today I will go to Starbucks and have tea because it's my favorite (not because there are no calories)
Today I will see a friend (shocker for this recluse)
Today I will snuggle my pup because I love him more than I ever knew possible.

Today I will be more than alive - I will live! Because tomorrow is worth fighting for (I guess)

Ahhh by the time I was born my mom had raised 3 daughters and was tired I was not forbidden from anything unreasonably - my only rules were don't lie and don't use gods name in vein

I'd say I'm pretty conservative in talking about my sex life (yup typing that I cringed)

I will talk religion (they're all good if they make you happy) money (I got none) and politics (I'm opinionated but love to hear your side too)

***speaking of hot dogs - how cool are the ones I made for my in laws for mother's day? I'm impressed that it worked! I got the recipe here:

But I changed it a little - I didn't use food dye
And I used biscuits rather than pizza dough because a pizza dough was 3.50 and 4 biscuit doughs were 1.99 (and I'm cheap)
